Yo John,I guess I'm the first comment on your new blog!

I was watching you Bjork music video and I noticed something, you used 3-D versions of Jimmy.

I know you hate 3-D and say it takes little creativity for 3-D animators, but I wanna know how you feel about how you think 3-D Jimmy turned out.

Well I didn't see that music video in such along time, and I'm kinda looking at it in a different perspective than when I first saw it a few years back.

Even though I've seen each of these a million times I ended up watching each of them. Some TWICE!

"I told you I'd shoot ... but you didn't believe me! Why didn't you believe me?!" Hilarity.

THE HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY SONG IS CLASSIC!
Could you talk a little about the creation of that song? Is that you singing?

Also - the idea of R&S's butt cheeks and the sound they make as they interlock while dancing is soooo hilarious.

Thanks for the joy!

You gotta include a clip from "Space Madness" at least or "Stimpy's Invention." Those two are your signature masterpieces in my humble opinion.

finally a high rez web version of CLASSICO.
THATS how flash is evil, crap pixelly flash players like youtube and daily motion.
Now you can finally see how lush Nick Cross and Marlo Meekins painted the animal zombie crowds!

"The F*** Her Gently" video is awesome, really inspiring. I love the Devil's design of character, and all the exaggerations and the things he does - there's such a sense of beauty in it.

You're a real inspiration, man, keep it up.

John K... i don't even know what to say -- you are the man! if it weren't for your toons (like R&S) invading my brain cells at such an early age, i swear i wouldn't be working so hard to become a cartoonist. i wish there was a school where i could enroll into classes taught by John K and Tex Avery and such. for now, i settle for John K Stuff.

i wish i had the chance for you to look at my stuff and maybe tear me a new one. i've been lucky enough to hang with Vince Waller (i interned on SpongeBob for a bit) and got some invaluable feedback from him (along with some awesome stories about working on R&S). maybe if you have time to check out my blog at www.optiknourishment.blogspot.com you could give me a taste of some of the things Vince says you taught him. i'm dying to be a damn good board artist, but i could use your help to strengthen my tooning skills.

thanks for posting your demo reel! i'll keep studying!

Hi John. Man, I just discovered most of these for the first time. It brings me such joy. Very inspiring work! My favourite is the 'Close But No Cigar' video -some of the best animation I've ever seen. I keep watching them frame by frame. So full of juicy bits and little jokes everywhere. I can't wait to see the new George Liquor cartoon(s)!!

Peace.

Hey John. Thanks for posting these vids to stream AND download! I show the Bjork video in one of my world music lesson games for Japanese highschool students. That video always grabs their attention the most. Sometimes it's as if their minds are getting blown at its surreality.

Fuck her gently is the best music video ever! I never laughed so hard in my life. It was a good song to begin with but you brought it to a whole new level with your animation!
